FEED-IN-TARIFF
In order to meet growing energy demands across the province, in October 2009 the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) has created the Micro Feed-In Tariff (microFIT) program, an offshoot of its Feed-in Tariff (FIT) program under Ontario’s Green Energy Act. The Ontario microFIT (micro Feed-in Tariff) program is designed for renewable energy projects, generating 10 kW or less and is best suited for home and small business owners. The program has proven to be a success among Ontarians with over 47,000 of applications submitted up to date.
